Very nice new motel
Motel 6 Poplar Bluff, MOThe hotel is fairly new, clean, and kind of minimalist. Every worker we met was nice and helpful. There was a useful little corner booth with a table and chair in the room that was a new feature to us. The beds were comfortable and clean. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Room like an oven
Red Roof Inn AbingdonWhen we arrived we found the curtains open and AC shut off on a 95 degree day. So, the afternoon sun heated up the west facing room like an oven. The AC couldn't cool it down even overnight. The floor was filthy when we arrived. The bed was hard as a rock and sounded like it was going to fall apart with every movement. The toilet required multiple flushes for everything. The bedding appeared to be clean, and the staff were all nice. And we were required to provide a $50 dollar deposit for having our dog with us and it took several days to get the deposit back after checking out. Will not stay again or recommend.
