Should have been notified about construction

This is a great location on State Street, and is a nice hotel, but there wan't really any special treatment for the dogs, and we felt like we should have been told about the major construction going on when we made our reservation. They're building a new pool area, workout facility, etc., so none of those amenities were available during our stay. We've stayed in several places in SB, and this is upper-mid range price level, so we feel there should have been a discount due to the construction inconveniences. Hope to try the hotel again when the construction is finished, but probably won't if the price goes up significantly.
