very nice facility

Drury Inn & Suites Albuquerque North

We stayed at 2 pet friendly hotels in Albuquerque: La Quinta and Drury Inn. Drury Inn was a little more expensive, but very much worth it. The rooms are updated and comfortable, and the pet area outside is suitable. Their guest evening social and hot breakfast make this a great value, especially for families. The hotel appears to offer good security with patrols, and is located within easy walking to a few restaurants. The only negative taking away the 5-Star rating was a less than perfect room cleaning upon check-in.

Tired property

La Quinta by Wyndham Albuquerque West

I have stayed at nice La Quintas, but this isn’t one. It started badly by being assigned to a room that was not prepared. Then waiting at the understaffed desk to get reassigned to a room where the door lock wouldn’t open. Then waiting another 20 make minutes to learn the trick to open the door. The entire property needs repair and updating, not to mention replacement of worn out beds. It was nice to have a place that accepted dogs, but my dogs couldn’t stop smelling the carpets and corners in the room...obviously many accidents took place. I won’t be returned by to this La Quinta.
