Very Dog-friendly, great food!
Ada’s Fish HouseDiscovered this pet friendly restaurant in the heart of Pismo Beach, and submitted the Add to BringFido. Diverse menu but delicious fresh seafood, large outdoor patio with heaters for guests with puppers, wonderful food, very fast service, they don’t require reservations but I’d strongly advise that you make a reservation for an outside table, we did & were seated immediately while a large crowd of walk-ins had to wait, as the restaurant is justifiably very popular.

Very good but not spectacular
Hilton Garden Inn MontereyThe dog relief areas are a good size but not enclosed ( so you can’t let dog off leash) and covered with bark, not grass. They do have a waste bag dispenser and garbage can. They have a restaurant that serves breakfast & dinner, but with no outdoor seating, and the dogs not allowed to be unattended in the rooms, you basically can’t utilize the restaurant on premises. However there are so many pet friendly restaurants with great food in Monterey, we didn’t really want to eat at the hotel anyway. The hotel was very nice, with a spacious room, good pool and hot tub, and they did a bonfire each night. The front desk staff was variable in their warmth and friendliness, but satisfactory.

Very pet friendly
Town and Country San DiegoEasy walk to Fashion Valley Mall (also pet friendly). Staff very welcoming, multiple large, open grassy areas for pet relief, convenient parking and an easy short drive to Old Town. Rooms have Keurig coffee makers and fridge. but no microwave.

Adequate but not spectacular
Hyatt Place Glendale Los AngelesGreat location for humans, near restaurants and huge shopping malls- which, however, don’t allow dogs. Decor kind of sterile. Staff friendly. No dog run or grass, have to walk a couple blocks down Wilson to residential neighborhood. No restaurant. Pool but no hot tub. When I reserved, no mention of reserving breakfast, when I checked in they said I didn’t sign up for breakfast so if I wanted the lobby breakfast it would be $12?! However, free coffee til 930 AM. Rooms very clean and spacious, comfy king bed, big window. Mini-fridge, coffee maker, no microwave. It was good enough that we will likely stay there again because it is walking distance to my son’s apartment, but I have stayed at other hotels with my Corgi that better served/embraced pet needs. Nonetheless, I can recommend it for the area and price.
