Close to Dog Mountain
2 Bedroom Downtown ApartmentWe stayed here with our 2 dogs during our trip to Dog Mountain. The apartment is spacious and the beds were comfortable. This apartment is located in a small downtown area. The only issue we had was that there is no A/C and the windows did not have screens so we could not open them. Besides that, was a great place to stay!

Close to Dog Mountain
Riley's Fish ShackWe stopped here for lunch during our visit to dog mountain. The covered patio welcomed our two dogs. The food was just ok - we ordered a burger and fish & chips. But the prices were reasonable and the service quick.

Worth the 12 hour drive!
Dog MountainWe drove from Michigan to Vermont on a road trip with our dogs to check out Dog Mountain and we were not disappointed! There are two trails along the mountain - blue and yellow. Heads up - the yellow trail is sometimes closed if it has rained a lot. There are also 2 ponds for the dogs to swim in. Note that the park is not fenced so be sure you are able to recall your dog, especially because the ponds are close to the parking lot. Wonderful experience! Riley's Fish Shack is right down the street and has a dog-friendly outdoor patio if you are looking to eat nearby.

Large open area
Fence Depot Dog ParkWe stopped here on a road trip with our two dogs. This fully fenced park is behind the Fence Depot business. We were able to purchase a day pass for a few dollars. There were separate areas for large and small dogs. Call ahead to find out when they are closing, as the dog park is only open to visitors when the Fence Depot is open.

Off leash trails
High ParkWe stopped here for a rest stop for our dogs on a road trip. There were fantastic shaded long off leash trails that were fenced in. There are holes in some of the fencing so only recommend letting your dog off leash if they recall back to you, there weren't too many holes though. The trails led up to "dog hill" which was an open sandy area. We didn't stay there long as the sand was hot. Highly recommend the trails!

Great burgers!
YummyYou walk up to order your food and then can take a seat at the couple of picnic tables they have out. Dogs were very welcome at the picnic tables. Burgers and fries were delicious! Workers were very welcoming to our doodles and came over to say hi and take a picture with them!

VERY dog friendly
The Burger SpotDogs are welcome on the outdoor patio. During our visit, it started to rain and the patio is not covered so they welcomed us inside at the hallway tables with our doods. The restaurant is part of a small indoor strip mall so the tables aren't technically inside the restaurant but they will serve you there. Highly recommend the shakes!
