Terribly dirty room
Hyatt Place Nashville AirportThe room was awful. Stained carpet and sofa. USB and electric connection box was sticky and covered in dog hair. The toilet wasn’t flushing properly and the sink wouldn’t drain. There were large water stains on the ceiling. I complained in the morning and was told I would be credited the $75 dog fee I had been charged. We’ll see if I really get it back. I hate that you can no longer trust in a chain hotel anymore as most are franchised out and it’s just by luck that you may get a good hotel or not. They charge us extra for our dogs, but they don’t use the extra money they get to actually clean the room. This has happened to me three times now with different hotels disguised as a decent hotel by name, but poorly managed properties.
Not Good
La Quinta by Wyndham Knoxville Central PapermillI would give zero if I could. This is an old hotel that La Quinta was converting to one of their own. I would never stay here again. I have stayed at many La Quinta’s over the years and this one was not good.
Not Great
Holiday Inn Express Little Rock Airport an IHG HotelWe only stayed here for one night while traveling through. The first thing I noticed when I entered the lobby was a musty/moldy smell. There were a ton of plants lining the downstairs halls as they have rooms facing both on the inside and outside. While the hotel seemed surface clean it was not truly clean. The carpet in our room was stained bunched up in areas. The bathroom had dirt and bits of stuff brushed into the corners and behind the door. The ceilings were recently painted, but it done very poorly as you could see roller marks all around and even where they missed areas. While Holiday Inn Express are well known, this one seemed to be privately owned and was not in the best shape as others that I have stayed in. I will not stay in this hotel again.
Great Hotel
Drury Inn & Suites Dayton NorthI have found that Drury are some of the best hotels for dog parents.
Okay for the night
Hyatt Place TopekaThe room was nice but the hall showed signs of moisture issues ( peeling wallpaper and musty smell). No real breakfast , just grab and go items. The gentleman who checked us in said it was due to construction going on. I did see some work in progress outside (sidewalk or new area being cleared) but did not see anything inside. It was okay for one night. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean.
Not bad
Super 8 by Wyndham Santa RosaHotel was clean for a one night stay. It has been updated with new bedding and towels. This was the first time that I have stayed in a Super 8 and I would give it 3 bones.
