Spacious
Lake Street PubThis is a great patio/deck eating spot with your dog. Large tables, spaced far apart meant there was plenty of room for our dog. Staff was very friendly and brought a bowl for water. Great food here! The beer battered whitefish is excellent.

Shady and great food
Smoke on the WaterThis is a nice spot to eat with your dog in Charlevoix. Be advised, there are about seven tables on the sidewalk outside so be prepared to wait and there's not a ton of space. That said this worked great for us and our poodle. Food is 💯. Service was friendly and this was all around a big success.

Great spot, great food
Gildas' Lake Street BakeryThis was a nice find for breakfast in Boyne City. Several tables outside the front entrance and dog friendly. Crepes are outstanding, both the savory and the sweet. We started our day here twice during a recent vacation.

Awesome low stress place to eat with dog on Mackinac
Dog House at Windermere PointLooking for a simple, low cost place to eat on Mackinac Island with a dog in tow? This is it. Picnic tables spread well apart mean your dog will have ample space. Solid offerings as far as hot dogs with a variety of toppings.

Lovely location
Ice House BBQThis is probably the best spot to eat with a dog on the Island. Large patio with many tables, all with umbrellas, in a nicely landscaped, shaded setting behind the Island House hotel. Plenty of room for your dog and very accommodating. Great food too! Whitefish is outstanding.

Tough walk to beach but great
Saugatuck Dunes State ParkFor as dog friendly as Saugatuck and Douglas are that does not extend to many of the beaches. The state park is dog friendly though. However, it is a 0.6 mile across hilly and increasingly sandy -- but shady -- terrain to get to the beach. Once you are there it is gorgeous. But if you're dog or you is not up for a tough walk, probably not for you.

Good outdoor eating space
The Mitten Brewing Company - SaugatuckWe took our dog here and it was a very good experience on their gravel outdoor patio. They brought a water dish for our pup without us having to request it and were friendly and accommodating. Outstanding pizza!

Waterfront dining with the pooch
Mermaid Bar & GrillMermaid has always been a family favorite and even more so after we brought our dog to Saugatuck with us for the first time. The outdoor deck is dog friendly and the staff was great and welcoming, even offering to put out a water dish without us even asking. It's a bit tight quarters so consider that if you have a large dog. Great food as always.
