One of the best
La Quinta by Wyndham Elk CityTwo recent stays with our Golden Retriever. One of the nicest La Quinta properties we have experienced. Spotless conditions. Easy access off I-40. Lots of grass area for Fido. Very cordial staff. I'm pretty sure the manager does not allow pets on the first floor, but our second floor room was perfect.

Nice Stay
Auburn Place Hotel and SuitesFriendly staff. Very large, comfy room. Plenty of grass area for the dog. Restaurants within easy walking distance. Huge breakfast area with actual breakfast (eggs, etc). Couldn't be any better.

Old But Cool
Heritage Inn & Suites Ridgecrest-China LakeThis was an older property that must have been a great, resort type property in it's prime. It's past it's prime now, but we really liked staying here. It has good areas for the pets, and was quiet. The size of the rooms, and common areas made this a very comfortable stay. Retro but highly recommended.

Not Great
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Albuquerque AirportWe stayed in room 205. This room faces a very noisy highway and the noise was amazing. No fridge! No microwave! The staff were helpful and professional, but the room was disappointing. From our room, it was a long distance to the other side of the hotel to the doggy grass area. It would be tough on a dog, walking that distance on hot pavement.
