Pet Friendly Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods Leashed dogs are welcome at Garden of the Gods, a pet-friendly, Registered National Natural Landmark in Colorado Springs, CO. Fido can join you as you hike along the beautiful trails through the red rock formations and enjoy the stunning views and landscape. Pets are also allowed inside the Visitor and Nature Center, but must be kept out of the indoor dining space. Please clean up after Fido during your visit. See Details
Pet Friendly Central Park
Central Park No trip to New York, NY, with your dog, would be complete without a stroll through Central Park. Pets must remain on-leash in the park except during designated off-leash hours in 23 areas of the park. Off-leash hours are before 9:00 AM and after 9:00 PM. There are over 15 dog fountains throughout the park. Visit the website for specific information on dog-friendly areas. Make sure to always clean up after your pet. See Details
Shawnee National Forest The dog-friendly Shawnee National Forest covers more than 270,000 acres in parts of ten counties in southern Illinois. The National Forest Service and Illinois Department of Natural Resources maintain dozens of natural areas for recreational use and several wilderness areas. From the 90 foot Pomona Natural Bridge to the remains of a Mississippian Native American village at Millstone Bluff, there are hundreds of miles of hiking trails to choose from. Trails range in length from the 150+ mile River to River Trail that runs between Battery Rock on the Ohio River and Devil's Backbone on the Mississippi River, to the easy one-fourth mile Observation Trail at Garden of the Gods. White Mountain National Forest Kancamagus Highway from Lincoln to Conway runs through the White Mountain National Forest in Campton, NH. Dogs on leashes and under voice command are welcome on the pet-friendly hiking trails. Dogs are also allowed at Franconia State Park under control, but not in campgrounds. There is a fee for a day pass. Do not leave dogs in the car unattended. See Details
Seward Park Bring Fido to visit the 300-acre Seward Park, a dog-friendly attraction in Seattle, WA. This recreation space offers a lovely paved waterfront trail, quiet forested areas, a native plant garden, tennis courts and more. Sunset Cliffs Natural Park Sunset Cliffs Natural Park is a dog-friendly park in San Diego, CA. This network of trails and cliffs made for climbing is one of the country's most beautiful sunset spots. Seven Islands State Birding Park Dogs are welcome at Seven Islands State Birding Park in Kodak, TN, where there are a number of pet-friendly trails for you and Fido to enjoy. There are 190 species of bird that call the 416 acres of land adjacent to French Broad River their home. Dogs must be leashed at all times, including in the parking area. Dog and their owners are asked to stay on designated trails to protect ground-nesting birds and wildlife in the fields and woods on the property. See Details
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Along forty miles of Lake Superior, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a pet-friendly spot in Munising, MI, that puts the glory of nature's ever-changing scenery on display every season. Ensure you and Fido head out to Sable Falls or Miners Beach. Your pet is permitted along roads and in designated developed visitor facility areas but not in fields or the backcountry. On trails, dogs must be kept on a leash, six feet or shorter, at all times. See Details

Cloudland Canyon State Park The scenic Cloudland Canyon State Park in Rising Fawn, GA, is located on the western end of Lookout Mountain, offering views from elevations as high as 1,980 feet. The park also boasts two cascading waterfalls are located along the Waterfalls Trail. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash 6 feet or shorter; however, they are not allowed in or around historic sites, lodges, group camps, or swimming areas. Devils Postpile National Monument The dog-friendly Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth Lakes, CA, offers incredible views of the Devils Postpile formation as well as Rainbow Falls. Valley of Fire State Park The dog-friendly Valley of Fire State Park is located in the Mojave Desert of Overton, NC, about 50 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The pet-friendly park lies in a basin 4 miles wide by 6 miles long, 15 miles southwest of Overton, Nevada. Its elevation varies between 2,000 and 2,600 feet. You'll see petrified trees dating back more than 2,000 years! Pets are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash of not more than six feet in length. They are not allowed in the Visitor Centers. Oak Mountain State Park Oak Mountain State Park is a dog-friendly park in Pelham, AL. Mountain biking and hiking are two of the most popular activities at the park. With more than 50 miles of trails, visitors have plenty of options to choose from be it a short loop or an overnight trip. Dogs are welcome in most areas of the park as long as they are leashed. Bike and horseback riding trails may not allow dogs for safety reasons. Dogs are not allowed in stores, food service areas, bathhouse, pool or swimming areas. Fido cannot be left unattended and will be confiscated if left in a hot car more than 30 minutes. See Details
Buckskin Mountain State Park Buckskin Mountain State Park is a dog-friendly recreation area in Parker, AZ. Bring Fido along to see the stunning views of the Colorado River along the Parker strip, an 18-mile stretch between Parker Dam and Headgate Dam. Mountains line the river on both the Arizona and California sides, and the wildlife is as varied as the recreational opportunities along the river. Dogs must be leashed at all times and are welcome on the campgrounds for no additional fee. See Details
South Mountain Reservation South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ is dog-friendly. This nature reserve coverers 2,112 acres in portions of Maplewood, Millburn and West Orange. The woodland park features a variety of hardwood trees, and tall hemlocks towering above streams, creeks and ponds. The west branch of the Rahway River flows through the valley, and a 25-foot waterfall at Hemlock Falls is a dramatic feature. It is also a Revolutionary War historic site. Croft State Park Once an army training base, pet-friendly Croft State Park covers more than 7,000 acres of rolling, wooded terrain just a few miles from downtown Spartanburg, SC. The recreation space offers 12 miles of biking and hiking trails, a playground, picnicking and camping, as well as fishing and boating in one of two lakes. Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must remain on a leash no longer than six feet and be cleaned up after. See Details
Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore is a pet-friendly destination in Empire, MI. However, keeping your pets away from birds and their nests during your visit is essential. This area has only 70 breeding pairs of piping plovers, an endangered bird where one-third of them nest at Lakeshore.
