Mackworth Island Mackworth Island is a pet-friendly 100-acre state park in Falmouth, ME. It is a great place to walk dogs oceanside, taking in the sites or observing birds in the sanctuary. The island-walk circles the island and is about 1.5 miles long. Be sure to keep your pup on a leash at all times. See Details
Pet Friendly Minnewaska State Park Preserve
Minnewaska State Park Preserve Minnewaska State Park Preserve in Kerhonkson, NY, is dog friendly. Leashed pets are welcome to join their owners as they explore the area, which is situated on the dramatic Shawangunk Mountain ridge, and features numerous waterfalls. Dogs are prohibited in buildings, camping, picnic, bathing areas or walkways. Hours vary seasonally, so dog owners should call before planning their outings. See Details
Moss Rock Preserve Moss Rock Preserve is a beautiful 349-acre nature preserve in Hoover, AL, abundant with trees and plants, rock outcroppings, streams, waterfalls, wildlife and other unique natural features. There are nearly 12 miles of dog-friendly hiking footpaths, as well as "Boulder Field" which is a favorite among rock climbers. Dogs are allowed throughout the park; they must be on no more than a 6-foot leash and under their owner's control at all times. See Details
Red Bug Slough Preserve Red Bug Slough Preserve is a dog-friendly nature preserve on 72 acres in Sarasota, FL. There are several trails that you can enjoy with your pup, some of which afford views of a small lake. There are two picnic shelters were you can share a snack with Fido. Be aware that you may encounter alligators during your visit, so keeping your dog leashed is imperative. Please clean up after your pets to help protect the flora and fauna. See Details
Silver Springs State Park Leashed dogs are welcome on the hiking trails and in the picnic areas at Silver Springs State Park in Silver Springs, FL. There are a number of pet-friendly trails, including the Sandhill Trail, a 1.7 mile loop trail; the Sinkhole Trail, traversing up through the uplands; and the Swamp Trail, a boardwalk trail that will keep your feet dry while you explore. Please note that, unfortunately, dogs are not permitted near the springs or on any form of water transportation at the park. See Details
Bourne Farm Bourne Farm is a popular dog walking site in North Falmouth, MA. Bring Fido along for a stroll on the pet-friendly trails and through the open fields. All dogs must be on a leash at all times when on the property. They're closed for dog walking and to the public during private events. See Details
Arcata Community Forest Take Fido for an adventure through dog-friendly Arcata Community Forest in Arcata, CA. Comprised of 793 acres of towering redwoods, the forest is popular with hikers, cyclists, runners and horseback riders. Leashed dogs can join you to explore 11 miles of multi-use trails. Camping is prohibited. There are several trailheads into Arcata Community Forest, including a parking area and trail access from Fickle Hill Road. See Details
Bryce Canyon National Park Leashed dogs are welcome to explore Bryce Canyon National Park in Bryce Canyon, UT. Bryce Canyon features the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. Pets are allowed to access views of these unusually-shaped pillars of rock from all paved surfaces. They can explore campgrounds, paved roads, paved viewpoints, the paved trail between Sunset Point and Sunrise Point, and the paved Shared Use Path between the park entrance and Inspiration Point. They are not allowed on unpaved trails or unpaved viewpoints, and cannot enter buildings or transportation, even if carried. Leashes may not be longer than six feet. See Details

Falls Park on the Reedy Dog-friendly Falls Park on the Reedy is located in the center of downtown Greenville, SC, and is the perfect spot for a morning walk, an afternoon picnic, or an evening stroll with your favorite four-legged friend. The park has plenty of open space for Fido to roam, but dogs must be leashed at all times and owners must clean up after their pets. Poop bag dispensers are located throughout the park. Crater Lake National Park Check out the dog-friendly Crater Lake National Park in Crater Lake, OR. Leashed pets are allowed on The Godfrey Glen Trail, Lady of the Woods Trail, Grayback Drive, the famous Pacific Crest Trail and the paved promenade at Rim Village. New River Gorge National Park & Preserve New River Gorge National Park & Preserve in Glen Jean, WV, is pet friendly. Dogs are allowed on the trails that wind around the banks of the river which passes through rocks, rock outcrops, trails and coal mines. In the gorge, there is typically a 1,000-foot difference in elevation between the river bottom and the adjacent plateau. The park is 70,000 acres, ideal for hiking, rock climbing and rafting on a whitewater river. Take Fido along the 2.4-mile Endless Wall Trail which passes through rich forest, crosses Fern Creek, then zig-zags along the cliff edge until reaching the overlook at Diamond Point. See Details

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is less than a 30-minute drive from the strip in Las Vegas. Leashed pets are allowed on dog-friendly trails. Owners are required to clean up after their dogs. Baggies for waste disposal are available in the campground and at the Scenic Drive fee station. Fido must be leashed at all times in the campground areas, and at other developed facilities such as the visitor center, Willow Springs picnic area and Red Rock overlook. Due to the extreme temperatures in the Canyon, pet owners should never leave their pets unattended inside their vehicles, and you should bring plenty of water for your pet as well. Garden of the Gods Leashed dogs are welcome at Garden of the Gods, a pet-friendly, Registered National Natural Landmark in Colorado Springs, CO. Fido can join you as you hike along the beautiful trails through the red rock formations and enjoy the stunning views and landscape. Pets are also allowed inside the Visitor and Nature Center, but must be kept out of the indoor dining space. Please clean up after Fido during your visit. See Details
Central Park No trip to New York, NY, with your dog, would be complete without a stroll through Central Park. Pets must remain on-leash in the park except during designated off-leash hours in 23 areas of the park. Off-leash hours are before 9:00 AM and after 9:00 PM.
